Plug the Test Rod cable
into the input socket of
the unit. |

Select the appropriate
level range as required,
such as:
Low frequency,
15KHz~60KHz, could set
at 0~50mV range;
Mid frequency,
60KHz~250KHz, could set
at 0~100mV range;
Hi frequency,
250KHz~3MHz, could set
at 0~500mV range. |

Turn on the power.
Put the end of test rod
into the water around
3cm. The depth could
adjust as needed. The
minimum depth is 2cm.
The depth should be
recorded for reference.
The data should tested and
recorded
at the same depth to
reduce the error for
analysis and comparison.

Check the selected level
range is correct. If OK,
can start the data
reading and recording. |

The scale 0~10 of the
alarm
set knob are
indicated the value 0~100% of
the
selected Level range.
For example,
level range is 0~50mV,
alarm set at
25mV, then, the
alarm set knob should
set at 5.0 position.
Or level range is
0~500mV, alarm set at
300mV, then, the
alarm
set knob should
set at 6.0 position.
And so on.

If the detected signal
level of test rod is lower than the
alarm setting, then the
alarm be
triggered, the green
indicator blinks fast
and the resistance of
the alarm output socket
become from open circuit
to <3 ohm.
If the alarm set
knob set at
zero
position,
this setting is same as
switch off the alarm.

If want to observe the
signal waveform or
frequency, be
connected the signal
input socket of
oscilloscope with cable
to the analog signal
output socket that
located at the rear
panel of the unit.
If want to record the DC
signal, be connected the
signal input socket of
the DC recorder with cable to the DC
signal output socket
that located at the rear
panel of the unit.

When switch on the unit
without AC power supply,
the battery would power
on, the green
power indicator is on.
When the battery power
become low, the green
power indicator blinks
slowly, reminding recharge.
When switch on the unit
with AC power supply,
the battery charge, the green
power indicator
and
yellow charging
indicator are both on.
Slow charging method is
applied in MUE18T to
prolong
the batteries
life. The recharge time is
close to using time. So
if recharge 8 hours
could use 8 hours. The
capacity of the
installed batteries is
1900mAh, if fully
charged could use 18
hours.
After charge or use,
please turn off the
power.
